Gabbie is an academic tutor at Bright Stars. She is a dedicated tutor in all subjects at the elementary grade level, and comfortable working with several age groups. She is an advocate for teaching students tools for success and building skills to improve academic confidence. She specializes in teaching students how to use strategies to take control of their learning.
Gabbie has a Master’s degree in Elementary Education, as well as an SEI endorsement with experience working with multilingual students for the majority of her career. Instruction in phonics and the science of reading are the backbone to her teaching. She has taught for several years in public schools and is familiar with a variety of curriculums and programs, in order to adhere tutoring instruction to your child’s district expectations.
Gabbie believes that building a rapport with a student is vital to success in tutoring and will prioritize this with your child. The goal for this relationship is to help build up the student’s abilities so that they are able to feel up to pace when in the classroom. She is ready to be any client’s biggest cheerleader.
